The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or monetize personal data. All interactions happen client-side inside your browser and any browsing on privateschools.cy is governed by our main website policies.

- No account credentials, search queries, or school preferences leave your browser.
- No data is shared with PrivateSchools.cy or any third party beyond the standard HTTPS requests your browser makes when you open privateschools.cy.

Permissions and functionality
The manifest requests a minimal set of permissions so the extension can open privateschools.cy and keep the popup responsive.
- `tabs`: used only to open or focus privateschools.cy when you click quick actions.
- `contextMenus`: lets the extension show “Search on PrivateSchools.cy” when you highlight text.
- `storage`: stores the 12-hour cache of public directory data so searches are instant.
- Host permission for https://privateschools.cy/* ensures requests stay scoped to our own site.
- Updates are delivered exclusively via the Chrome Web Store; there are no sideloaded binaries.
